Mommy & Me Farm Play is a gentle, nature-rooted gathering for our youngest learners and their grown-ups.

Our Mommy & Me Farm Play program is a slow, hands-on outdoor experience designed for children ages 0–4 and their parents. Together, you’ll explore the rhythms of the farm through movement, sensory play, and shared discovery, guided by one of our warm, thoughtful educators.

Each week, families will wander through our gardens, avocado orchards, and eucalyptus forest, spend time observing and gently interacting with our animals- rabbits, cats, chickens, ducks, and sheep, and enjoy unhurried moments, possibly even walking the bluffs or beach trails. There will be time for digging in the dirt, noticing tiny wonders, and simply being together outdoors.

This class is child-led and parent-supported, honoring curiosity, connection, and the natural pace of early childhood. There is no rush, no pressure, just space for play, wonder, and joy.

Located at the Carpinteria Children’s Farm on the Carpinteria bluffs, our 3.5-acre plot overlooks the beach and distant mountains. The farm features eucalyptus trees, a pasture field for four grazing sheep, an avocado grove with more than 170 avocado trees (complete with bee boxes), and expansive farming and gardening areas. It is home to ducks, chickens, sheep, rabbits, a female Bernese Mountain dog that absolutely loves children, and 3 farm cats. Surrounded by miles of bluffs hiking trails and the beach!
